What’s cooler than being cool? Being recognized as a 2021 Gartner Cool Vendor! 

On May 11th, 2021, Gartner published their research report, “Cool Vendors for Digital Workplace Strategy and Applications.” According to the report, “Remote and hybrid work amplify challenges in coordinating teams as the needs for flexibility around time, place, and technology affect everyone.” [1]

This report further adds, “Many organizations were forced to skip past experimentation straight to implementation and found new challenges. The way employees worked together and how organizations worked with employees, business partners, and even with government entities were constantly evolving to address the need to work remotely. As a result, new questions emerged:

■Engagement — How to keep audiences engaged and interactive in virtual meetings?

■ Collaboration — How to continue to collaborate with colleagues outside of virtual meetings?

■ Organization — How to organize all these new and existing tools a worker needs?

■ Communication — How to communicate with the broader employee community?

■ Extension — How to do all of this with audiences outside your organization?”

Speaking to the organizational challenges companies face, the report highlighted communications as a key area of concern. Specifically, how will organizations coordinate when individual workers adhere to different work locations, time zones, and channels. Gartner’s recommendation is to adopt a unified platform that brings the tools, communications, and content into a centralized experience.
