Simpplr Adds Employee Experience and Marketing Veterans to Growing Team

(REDWOOD CITY, CALIFORNIA – July 26, 2022) — Simpplr, a leading provider of employee experience software, announced today that two veteran industry leaders, Carolyn Clark and Janis Weiss, have joined their growing team.

Veteran communications and employee experience leader Carolyn Clark joins as Vice President of Strategy and Transformation. A seasoned leader with deep roots in employee communications and experience, Clark will help Simpplr elevate the employee experience by driving innovation and reimagining employee communication in today’s world. She is responsible for enhancing Simpplr’s industry capabilities, refining product quality, and driving innovation for its customers, along with serving as an industry expert and spokesperson.

Previously, Clark led Employee Communications at companies such as Yahoo, Oath (Verizon Media), GoDaddy and Opendoor—and also founded her own communications consulting company. Prior to her time in the tech industry, she worked in public relations on campaigns for celebrities, consumer brands, and media companies. Clark started her career as a news producer at ABC and paid her dues as an NBC page.

“I am incredibly passionate about Simpplr’s approach to combining a full stack of employee experience technology with a forward-thinking customer focus,” said Clark. “And I look forward to building on the incredible momentum the team has already started.”

Janis Weiss joins Simpplr as Vice President of Corporate Marketing. Weiss, an accomplished marketing leader with more than 20 years of experience in high-growth SaaS and technology companies, has expertise in communications and content strategy, brand, media, social marketing, and customer advocacy.

In this vital role, Weiss will oversee all brand marketing and corporate communications, helping Simpplr, as a fast-growing pre-IPO company, amplify brand awareness, and enhance its position as a leading employee experience platform. Prior to joining Simpplr, Weiss headed corporate marketing at Openprise, where she established the brand and communications functions and introduced strategic and creative initiatives—all of which elevated the company’s brand. Weiss has also led marketing communications at Jasper (Cisco), WhiteHat Security (Synopsys), Intacct (Sage), and held various marketing roles at Cisco, WebEx, and PeopleSoft.

“A positive employee experience correlates to a superior customer experience,” Weiss said. “Simpplr helps drive a better experience across the board, and I’m thrilled to join the team and work with a company I truly believe in.”

“Building our talent bench is a key element to maintaining our lead in the industry,” said Dhiraj Sharma, CEO of Simpplr. “With the skills and talent that Ms. Clark and Ms. Weiss bring to the team, I’ve never been more confident in the direction Simpplr is heading and can’t wait to expand the impact our product has on workforces across the world.”
