International Women’s Day: The unstoppable women of Simpplr

Happy International Women’s Day and Women’s History Month!

International Women’s Day is celebrated on March 8 and is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating gender parity.

The theme for International Women’s Day 2021 is ‘Choose To Challenge’ which inspires individuals (not just women) to challenge biases, question stereotypes and celebrate the amazing achievements of women across the world.

In an effort to celebrate women who are not only inspiring others but are also challenging the world, we want to take this moment to recognize some of the amazing female Simpplr employees and their contributions to the organization.

Today, the women on our Simpplr teams across the world share a little about their own career paths:

Simpplr has taught me that nothing is off-limits for you. A banker by profession followed by a sabbatical of 7 years. It can be intimidating to get back to a mainstream career, trust me this is the place that will put all your anxieties, fears to rest. You are nurtured and made to believe that everything is within your ability

March 1st marks the start of Women’s History month and it is important for us to recognize the roles women play in the business world, beyond the stereotypes imposed on women in the past.  We are fortunate to be born in an era where women have the opportunities to be leaders, to contribute to society, and to change the world. I encourage all our female employees to find your voice, grow with Simpplr by taking on new challenges and responsibilities….. and be extraordinary!

Simpplr makes it worthwhile to work, with a great working environment and excellent teamwork. This is the company that helps you grow and attain new heights which you thought were impossible.

Even though I am from a biotechnology field with no background knowledge in IT, I was always welcome and given opportunities to grow and nurture.

Simpplr has the best product, amazing people, a welcoming and inclusive culture.  As a mother, a daughter, a wife, a sister, a friend, and a co-worker, I lucked out with the best job I have ever had, and for the first time in my career, being a woman puts me on equal footing with ALL Simpplifiers.

I can proudly say Simpplr is my first and best move. Here I have got opportunities to learn and build myself along with enjoying everything around.

Throughout my career (starting as a Junior Consultant) I always had women leaders that I either reported to directly or were within my line of leadership. It was not always a conscious observation – but reflecting back – this played a role in my career, where I could see first hand how women contribute, lead and inspire. What a luxury it was for me to have these role models, compared to what many of them experienced early in their careers as being “the only woman in the room”.  We sure have come a long way in society.  But, there is more work to be done as a society too. More opportunities for women re-entering the workforce, more opportunities for women to lead from the board rooms and C-suite, more opportunities for women to enter more technical fields.

I am grateful and proud that Simpplr is a “safe place” for women to grow, thrive, and take risks.  We have a gender-diverse leadership team and representation throughout the organization and I’m confident this will continue as we grow by leaps and bounds!

From an introvert who is always looking for a small corner where no one can see her to the girl who feels very comfortable to talk with every member of the company with a smile on her face.

Thank you Simpplr for the wonderful 1.5 years of the beginning of my career

Within women is the ability to create, nurture and transform. Not only in a household, but in our careers as well. I’m thankful to find a place where women have the opportunity to do what we do best and be celebrated, not silenced.
