As an international organization, the World Economic Forum needed to successfully connect their 6 global offices and engage their employees on a centralized platform. With executives aligned, the Forum launched a new intranet named “WeLink” to communicate an effective intranet content strategy.

Last week, IABC partnered with Simpplr for Enhancing Communication with an Intranet Content Strategy featuring Nashengena Popper, the Digital Engagement Lead at the World Economic Forum. Nashe shared how they established their intranet as a virtual headquarters when they transitioned to remote work.

Webinar Recap: Enhancing Communication with an Intranet Content Strategy

Like many dispersed organizations, the Forum was facing issues with not having a dedicated intranet that could help centralize information on one platform. Company information was spread across too many platforms such as Chatter, Teams, Box and Email. This made it difficult for employees to collaborate, stay informed, and onboard.

In Enhancing Communication with an Intranet Content Strategy, Nashe shares The Forum’s communication challenges and what their vision for a collaborative digital workplace ecosystem looks like.

In this webinar, you’ll learn how World Economic Forum:

  • Developed an intranet framework with strategic input from employees
  • Established an intranet governance team to streamline communication across locations and departments
  • Launched an intranet virtually during the midst of a pandemic

Nashe also shared the internal launch video that World Economic Forum created to help employees understand the purpose and functionality of WeLink.
