Emily Inglis

Sr. Director, Human resources at Root Inc.

Emily Inglis leads Root’s People Growth team, overseeing internal communications, performance management, learning and development, onboarding and engagement. Emily and her team are responsible for designing the team member’s experience from the time a person speaks to a recruiter to when they become an alumni of Root. They use Root’s mission to unbreak things and values to guide their decision-making and program development.

Before joining Root, Emily was the Head of Engagement at Lyft, where she redesigned Lyft’s engagement strategy, including survey design and data analysis. Prior to Lyft, Emily worked at Twitter, PepsiCo and Google, working in various areas of Human Resources.

Emily earned her Bachelor of Arts in English at Miami University.

Gretchen Geyer
Gretchen Geyer

Growth Systems Analyst at Root Inc.

Gretchen Geyer is the Growth Systems Analyst on the People Growth team at Root Inc. She started at Root in May 2019 and has held this position since September 2020. Gretchen cares deeply that the employees at Root have access to the resources that they need to grow and develop. Previously, Gretchen worked as a Clinical Research Coordinator at The Ohio State University.

She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work and a Master of Business Administration degree from Goshen College.
