The executive wanted to foster a strong company culture, so, after creating a role for an internal communications professional, set out to redesign the intranet in just six weeks. It was no easy task. Employees had little to no awareness of an intranet existed and instead relied heavily on email. Those who had experienced the previous incarnation of the intranet found it filled with outdated content and those who administered it found it difficult to distribute information.
